When choosing a helmet, it is important to research how much protection different brands of helmets offer. To pass the CE test, helmets have to have shock absorbency of less than 250G (G being the measurement of deceleration). Skid Lids have less than 50G – making them five times more shock absorbent than the CE test requires. Be wary of helmets that only just pass the CE test.
As the Skid Lid’s shell has such strong shock absorbency, it can have a soft comfortable lining. Be wary of helmets that have harder foam linings as they need this to pass the CE test.
Measure around the orbit of your head and choose the size of helmet accordingly. All sizes in between can be accommodated by the extra padding in the pocket at the back of the liner. It is better to get a slightly larger helmet and pad it out.
Carbon black, titanium silver, white….the choice is entirely yours!
