Welcome to the newest addition to our website featuring news and reviews of Ainsworth products in use from around the globe. In this edition we're featuring our first profile of an Ainsworth sponsored paddler, Robyn Pearcey, 2008 Female British National champion surf kayaker.

Potted history:

Robyn started paddling just a few years back and has gone from strength to strength in the surf kayaking world. She was selected for the England Ladies Surf Team for the 2007 championships in Spain and has made it into the team again for the 2008 Championships being held in France in September. Robyn currently paddles a Mega Mustang and is a member of the Mega Flying Squad.

Future Plans:

Robyn already has 2009 firmly in her sights with both the biggest surf championship at Santa Cruz and the World Championship being held in Portugal. Robyn says “My goal is a top three place at the World Championships in Portugal, and I’m looking forward to using my new Ainsworth paddles to get me there.”

Robyn will be competing at the British Plastic Surf Kayak Championships on 16–17 August at Woolacoombe, North Devon. Ainsworth wish her luck and are also pleased to be an event sponsor. More info at www.surfkayaks.com.
